Function

The Office of Joint Controller of Communication Accounts Uttarakhand, is entrusted with specific functions relating to Government Non-Tax Revenue collection from Telecom & Internet Service Providers viz. License Fee, Spectrum Usage Charge and Accounting, verification of  deductions claimed by the operators for license fees, processing of claims of Digital Bharat Nidhi subsidy from Universal Service Providers and authorizing subsidy payments to them. The Office of Joint Controller of Communication Accounts is a designated monitoring agency for Digital Bharat Nidhi related schemes. In addition, it  handles Pension & GPF cases  of DoT and BSNL (Absorbed form DoT) employees of the Circle. This office started payment of pension to BSNL (Absorbed form DoT) and DoT pensioners using SAMPANN. The office of Joint Controller of Communication Accounts represents Department of Telecommunications in all Legal cases pertaining to Uttarakhand Circle.
