The office of the Principal Controller of Communication Accounts (Pr. CCA), Guwahati serves as the nodal office for the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) in Assam and the entire North Eastern Region excluding Sikkim. The office plays a pivotal role in providing financial, administrative, and regulatory support to the telecom sector across the seven North Eastern States.

Pr. CCA, Guwahati is responsible for a wide range of functions including maintenance of telecom revenue accounts, pension authorization and disbursement for retired telecom employees, management of General Provident Fund (GPF) accounts, settlement of retirement benefits, spectrum-related financial matters, and licensing fee accounting. The office also facilitates various citizen-centric services and supports telecom operators and stakeholders through efficient financial management and regulatory compliance.
