The functions assigned to the Regional Offices at Nagpur and Aurangabad are as follows:

  1. Pension: Regular and Revision cases for timely disbursement of retirement benefits of respective regions of Vidarbha and Marathwada.
  2. USO Inspection : Efficient and timely Inspection under various USO schemes for that region is handled by these offices.
  3. Internal Audit : Internal Audit of of three DoT units viz. TERM Nagpur, IMS Nagpur , ( By nagpur regional Office) ISMES Jalna (by Aurangabad Regional Office) is being conducted by these offices.
  4. Legal Cases: CAT and High Court cases of Nagpur and Aurangabad  are being handled respectively by these offices avoiding delay.
  5. Pension Voucher Audit for the region is taken care by respective offices.
  6. Service Book Verification and custody of service book is carried by respective Regional offices.
  7. Local coordination with DAP Nagpur and RBI office is taken care by Nagpur Regional Office.
