Telecom Reforms 2021

Pursuant to the decision of the Union Cabinet in respect of rationalization of Bank Guarantees, License Amendment bearing No. 20-271/2010 AS-I (Vol-IV) dated 06.10.2021 in respect of UL, UL-VNO & UAS Licensees were laid out. With reference to these reforms, DoT (Hqrs.) issued an O.M No. 1-9/2019-LFP-I Dated 08.10.2021 which laid out procedure for rationalization of Bank Guarantees pursuant to the amendment in the Chapter 4 of the License Agreement(s) i.e. ‘Bank Guarantee (BG) Reforms’.

 

SARAS - Revenue Management Software (RMS)

Many workshops (cum-training) were given to the Decentralized Licensees operating in the Odisha Licensed Service Area to get familiarize with the software. Presently, the software is being used for collection of payment of LF by ISPs/TSPs along with entry of quarterly AGR, and other relevant documents.

Final DVR have been issued in respect of 06 TSPs (M/s Tata Teleservices Limited, M/s Reliance Communications Limited, M/s Reliance Jio Infocom Limited and M/s Vodafone Idea Limited, M/s Bharti Airtel Limited and M/s BSNL) for the Financial Year 2024-25 through SARAS.
